The Marine Reconnaissance Foundation (MRF) is committed to serving the Marine Reconnaissance Community by providing support to active-duty, retired and former teammates via reoccurring annual and emergency support programs for Reconnaissance Marines, and Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsmen (SARC) deployed and our families.

OUR HISTORY

Incorporated in 2013, the the MRF is an established nationally registered 501c3 whose purpose is to support Marines and sailors of the Marine Reconnaissance community and our families.

OUR MISSION

Provide reoccurring and emergency assistance to the men of the Marine Reconnaissance community and our families, and perpetuate the storied history and lineage of the Reconnaissance community since the communities inception.

Demonstrate our intent and accomplish our mission via coordinated action in concert with our teammates, supporters, large & small businesses.  As an organization that represents each and every Recon Marine and SARC throughout our communities existence, we will work tirelessly to live by the Reconnaissance Creed in support of teammates through action.

OUR SERVICES

    • Recon Gold Star Family Retreat (San Diego & Lanikai Oahu)

    • Wounded Teammate & Family Retreat (Destin, Florida)

    • Recon Owned Business Grant Program

    • Units and Schoolhouses (e.g. Marine Corps birthday celebrations)

    • Financial Support to the Annual Recon Challenge (Camp Pendleton California)

    • Events to support re-occurring programs (e.g. Charity Golf Outing, Sporting Clay Shoot, Marine Corps Ball)

  • Identify gaps in support/coverage to support our teammates and our families such as…

    • On site/in person support (e.g. disaster clean up, medical support coordination)

    • Medical devices not covered by insurance/TRICARE

    • Financial support (not provided by traditional means, on hand resources etc. that are approved by the BOD)

    • Donated goods/services

    • Create and fund investment accounts for surviving children

    • Providing goods/services to units, schoolhouses, deployed forces

    •  Support to personnel wounded/injured or personnel killed in action or training

    • Mentorship program

    • Unit events (e.g. memorials, warrior night)

    • Unit historical programs

    • Command support

    • Unit history

    • Significant Recon Teammate highlights (photo, video, narrative history)
