David Poore Turner is a partner with the law firm of Brown | Poore LLP in Walnut Creek, California. David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1988, and he was honorable discharged as a Sergeant in 1996. David was assigned as a member of Detachment, Fourth Force Reconnaissance Company at Stead Field in Nevada in 1990, and he attended various schools, including the basic reconnaissance course, the combat diver school in Key West, airborne and military freefall school, as well as other occupational related courses. David used the GI Bill to attend college at California State University Sacramento, and law school at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. David graduated law school With Great Distinction, and he is a member of the Order of the Coif. David accepted an assignment as an officer with the United States Navy JAG Corps, and he served as a Trial Counsel and Command Services Officer for several years in the Pacific Northwest. David later took an assignment as a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the Western District of Washington. Upon moving back to the Bay Area, David accepted a litigation position at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold in San Francisco, and Bjork Lawrence LLP in Oakland, before forming his own litigation practice. David is married with three children, and he is presently medically retired due to service connection, living in Sonoma County, California.
